making of the debconf videos and the meetings archive

Proposal details:

Abstract:

This talk aims at three goals: to share the knowledge and experience achieved by video team members during debconf5 and elsewhere. I will explain how the debconf videos were made, so others can use this knowledge and the service
provided by the meetings archive to preserve "their" meetings.

As a second goal, we obviously want to receive feedback and strive for suggestions how to improve our work.

The third goal is more short-term and selfish: the debconf6 videoteam wants to motivate *YOU* to join us here and now so that we can improve our workflow, produce even better recordings and are able to distribute our workload better.

The following aspects will be mentioned during the talk:
- hardware requirements to record videos
-- cams & mics
-- data storage
- the (free or not so free) software used
- how to do it: recording & post-processing
- organizing the team / how you can help
- http://meetings-archive.debian.net/pub/debian-meetings
-- usage statistics
-- future goals and rules to upload data

Especially to achieve the third goal it would be useful to have this talk in the very beginning of debconf6, so that people can still join and help.
