Debian and the $100 Laptop
Proposal details:
Abstract: | The One Laptop Per Child project (better known at the $100 Laptop Project) has gained a huge amount of press. The goal of the project it provide hundreds of millions students across the world with affordable, durable computers through their schools and their country's ministries of education. The laptop, will be running Free Software.
While many people, including Red Hat, are working the project, this does not preclude the involvement of Debian developers or bar Debian from running on the machine. This BOF will aim to answer questions about the project an brainstorm ways that Debian developers, and Debian as a whole, can make an important impact on the project and on the world. |
